Description: In 2011 a very rare opportunity arose to conduct an excavation of a 1940 Auxiliary Unit Operational Base (OB) at Warningcamp.
A 100% excavation to a depth of 3m below ground level was conducted over a period of five months, resulting in enough data being collated from the remains to construct a 3D computer interpretation. Although the main structure had collapsed, the escape tunnel (formed of concrete pipes) remained intact.
